If you’ve ever worked in corporate environment, you know the drill when it comes to dress code: strictly business casual. There’s a lot of ties, blazers and dull, dark colors. One day each week, if you’re lucky, you might be able to slip into something a little more comfortable on Friday – for a small donation to a charity of your company’s choice.

We do things a little bit differently here at Influitive. Like most startups, our dress code is casual-casual: jeans, t-shirts and hoodies dominate at our office most days.

But the first Friday of each month, we get our fancy on and show up in our best attire. On those Fancy Fridays, Influitive ladies are rocking beautiful dresses and the fellas can be found decked out in bow ties, suspenders, vests and crisp, white dress shirts.

It’s fun and refreshing, and definitely an important part of our still relatively young culture. I think I can speak for every Influvian when I say it’s awesome to receive compliments from your colleagues on your Fancy Friday best. When we “suit up” (or “skirt up”), we clean up rather nicely.

Here are a couple of snapshots from our very first Fancy Friday in November (err…Movember, hence all the mustaches) and our most recent Fancy Friday – today!
