I’ve been starting businesses as long as I can remember. The process of selecting the right target markets, creating innovative solutions to drive dramatically higher benefits than everyone expects, and delivering this value at a sustainable level of profit is something I’ve enjoyed. One of my great earlier experiences was as the founding CEO of Eloqua.

I learned how to program with my dad when I was six. Fifteen years later, I began working with SaaS startups in Toronto before joining Influitive as its first employee. I work with our development team to deliver great new features every week, and obsess over things like stories, cards, kanban and scrum. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, sailing, the outdoors, and a good bowl of pho.

I’m a veteran marketer for early and growth stage tech companies and am passionate about bringing transformative concepts to market. Before joining the Influitive team I spent the last seven years in a variety of marketing leadership roles at Eloqua, the marketing automation leader. These include running the product, demand and field marketing organizations, each of which was instrumental in catapulting the company from $5M to $93M in revenues. I’ve also directed marketing efforts at Unveil Solutions, Lernout & Hauspie, and several PR agencies. Even though I love the challenge of building revenue engines at exciting companies, I direct most of my energies towards ensuring that my two kids have a fantastic and memorable childhood.

I was a strategy consultant with Bain & Co., but caught the entrepreneurial bug while studying in Silicon Valley, and have since launched my own startup. Most recently, I learned marketing and branding with Jackman Reinventions, a retail consultancy. As Chief of Staff at Influitive, I help the entire team stay focused on the most important issues. Otherwise, I spend as much time outside as possible, usually attached to a board, a kite, a boat or a bike, or helping the Nature Conservancy of Canada to protect Canada’s most important lands.

I started my career in a sales engineering and product consulting role at Eloqua, understanding business needs for marketing automation and facilitating solutions that provide a positive experience. I later took a product manager role responsible for InQuira’s analytics product. At Influitive, I empathize with prospective and existing users to help prioritize and coordinate product changes and align to their goals. Outside of Influitive, I enjoy playing the upright bass and the occasional didgeridoo and portaging canoes whenever I can.

I’ve been programming since the Commodore 64. Not only do I help develop AdvocateHub, but I’m the Influitive librarian. If you have a topic, I can recommend a book on it. A relatively unknown fact about me is that my body heat is a major contributor to global warming.

I got into programming as a kid for the thrill of the power that it gave me. In no other part of my life did I have so much agency, it seemed. That early life’s theme continues through to my job at Influitive. I have the pleasure of building something – a somewhat strange, abstract structure – every day with people I like. Besides software, other somewhat strange, abstract structures I’m interested in are personalities, stories, economics and politics.

I came to Influitive after over seven years at Eloqua where I worked in education services and most recently, customer marketing. As an Advocacy Coach I’m happy to share my passion for creative learning and marketing to help our customers to reach their goals. I love animals and even though I’m allergic to most, I can’t resist being around them. Especially cats.

I began my career in advertising and management consulting in New York. Upon moving back to Toronto, I joined the customer success team at Eloqua.I got a taste of a startup at PharmaTrust, playing a number of leadership roles including client services, sales, business development, and marketing. At Influitive, the best part of my day is connecting with customers, learning about their business and helping them grow with advocate marketing. If I’m not in the office, you will likely find me by a lake, at the dog park, discovering a new restaurant or exploring a new city.

I’ve held a variety of customer-facing roles over the years, including document management at Toshiba and acting technical lead at an Internet hosting company. In 2006 I joined Eloqua and grew the support team before switching to a product management role, where I oversaw the core enterprise platform and partner integrations. At influitive I enjoy producing software that helps people interact and express their passion for B2B products. I’m also an avid photographer and have been to the Amazon River twice.

I have over ten years of experience in accounting, finance, and process improvement in the software and investment banking industries. Improving efficiency and process automation is my passion at work. My goals at Influitive are to ensure all employees have a worry-free working environment, provide the management team with financial and operational information, comply with government and stakeholder requirements, and satisfy external customers’ and suppliers’ requests. I enjoy practicing Ashtanga Yoga and gardening. I also have a soft spot for Australian Shiraz.

I’ve floundered my way through enterprise Java by forever expressing my love of Ruby. I contribute a lot to the open sources. I’m a bug squasher who chastises those that break the build. I also bear an uncanny resemblance to Grizzly Adams and have an innate ability to converse with bears.

I have a mixed bag of talents. I earned my degree in architecture, but I’ve also worked in bookkeeping, day trading, mechanical engineering, furniture design, renovations, and business consulting. I finally moved into computer programming and feel settled now. I like to customize my environment by constantly tweaking everything and occasionally breaking it. I was born in Barcelona, Spain, and love to travel. I’ve visited Europe, Central and South America, the United States, and Asia. I’m saving up to take a year off and travel, and would love to live on a boat.

Having started my career in HR I’m well attuned to the people side of business. But since I discovered my passion for technology I haven’t looked back. I take pride in not only detecting bugs but also improving the overall user experience of AdvocateHub. I get great abdominal workouts in the office by laughing uncontrollably on a regular basis. After hours, you’ll find me at the dance studio doing Zumba or Pilates.

I experienced my first taste of technology working in the marketing department of a small IT software start-up. After creating everything from sales collateral to full-scale customer events I was given the opportunity to engage customers directly. I heard our client’s incredible stories and learned about the power of these individuals. A short while later I was given a chance to join the Influitive team and quickly moved up to San Francisco to start. When I am not working or exploring my new home, you’ll find me in the kitchen baking cookies, cakes and all sorts of delicious treats.

As the quarterback for the York football team, I spent my university career working with Sport York in the marketing, promotions, and media departments. I joined Influitive with a summer internship and moved into a marketing and customer support role. I’m glad to help Influitive’s customers along with any issues and inquiries, which we use as insight to develop AdvocateHub further. Growing up, I helped out at my family’s custom jewelery shop. I can pick out a quality gem from a mile away.

Before joining Influitive I worked for one of the top technology companies providing front-line customer support and computer hardware repair. I have always been talented at fixing gadgets (from slot machines to phones) but really found my niche working with people. When you’re as wildly excited about excellent customer service as I am, you look to create those experiences with everyone you interact with. I’ve been in one form of customer support or another for as long as I’ve been working, and I’m excited to bring that passion to Influitive. When I’m not in the office I love cooking dinner for my friends. I spend way too much time surfing the web for new recipes!
