Vote For Your Favorite Advocate Marketing Program Of The Year

All over the country, every day, acts of advocacy for B2B companies are taking place. Big and small, organized and spontaneous, online and offline – you just have to look for them.

In the fall, we put out a call for nominations for the first annual Best Advocate Marketing Awards, also known as The BAMMIES, to uncover them.

Naturally, our team wondered if it would just be a competition between our existing customers – those handful of B2B companies that are proving to be truly innovative and forward-thinking by not only having a comprehensive advocate marketing program, but also implementing an advocate marketing platform like Influitive’s AdvocateHub to manage it.

BAM_logo_transWe were pleasantly surprised to find that, once the word got out about The BAMMIES, we received a flood of nominations from a wide variety of other companies that were also orchestrating and measuring advocacy from customers at their organizations too.

Most commonly, this seems to takes place at events, such as user conferences, where marketing teams can:

  • encourage attendees to generate buzz on social media
  • facilitate in-person meetings between happy customers and prospects, analysts and media
  • capture a ton of content (e.g., interviews, videos, testimonials, etc.) to use in future campaigns throughout the year

As a result, we received more entries for The BAMMIES’ Best Use of Advocates at an Event category than any other. (Best Content and Social Engagement was a distant second.)

After the nomination period closed near the end of December, our panel of judges spent a few weeks pouring over the submissions and debating which of the fantastic entries should win, or be recognized as runners up. They had to make some tough decisions, but were ultimately able to come to an agreement.

The winners and runners up will be recognized and celebrated at an awards ceremony and dinner in San Francisco on Jan. 16, and we’ll announce them here on our website on Jan. 17.

Between now and then, the winner of one special category – Advocate Marketing Program of the Year – will be determined by public voting. Over the next week, these 23 companies will compete for the popular vote:
