TORONTO — October 3, 2018 — Influitive is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2018 Best Advocate Marketing Awards (BAMMIES). The BAMMIES, now in their 5th year, were designed to recognize companies and individuals who have successfully used customer advocacy to fuel their business strategies.

This year, the BAMMIES were presented at Glenn Gould Studio in downtown Toronto, at a gathering of hundreds of advocacy thought leaders, executives, and practitioners.

Nine extraordinary teams and marketers were recognized for their accomplishments this year, which included sourcing hundreds of user-generated content pieces, gathering online reviews and testimonials, and increasing community engagement.

The 2018 BAMMIES winners are:

Most Engaged Advocate Community: Cvent

Best Advocate-Generated Content Campaign: Cisco

Best Use of Advocacy for Events: VMware

Best Advocacy Impact on Product Development: ADP

Best Use of Advocacy to Support Customer Success: Wiley

Biggest Sales Impact by Advocates: Calabrio

Best Program ROI: Ceridian

Advocate Marketer of the Year: Sarah Schreiner from ADP

Advocate Marketing Program of the Year: Staples

The awards ceremony was part of the 4th annual Advocamp conference, and first ever Advocamp event held in Toronto, where customer experience, engagement, and advocacy professionals heard from thought leaders, participated in live discussions and networking, and sharpened their knowledge of advocacy.

Speakers included Brian Solis (Principal Analyst at Altimeter Group), Don Peppers (Best-Selling Author and Founding Partner of Peppers & Rogers Group), Jeanne Bliss (Founder and CEO of Customer Bliss), Gibson Biddle (Former VP of Product at Netflix), April Dunford (Founder of Rocket Launch Marketing), and other foremost leaders in the customer engagement and advocacy space.

Mark Organ (Influitive CEO, Advocamp Founder, and keynote speaker at the event) also introduced an innovative new vision: the Customer-Powered Enterprise (CPE). He explained that a CPE is an organization in which customers not only inform strategy, but also help execute it across all areas of the business. Accompanying this introduction is the release of a new eBook, The Customer-Powered Enterprise Playbook, which is a practical blueprint to help companies plan their transformation. It contains concepts, case studies, and worksheets, all designed to illuminate the path forward.

“The Customer-Powered Enterprise strategy is a game-changer,” says Mark Organ. “Marketing and Sales have driven incredible results by discovering, nurturing, and mobilizing their customer advocates. Now, we are seeing advocates support the entire customer lifecycle, driving objectives for product development, customer success, developer relations, partner management, and more. Companies that adopt and execute the CPE strategy will gain decisive advantages in their markets.”

Also featured at Advocamp Field Day were recent product innovations by Influitive, notably the introduction of an all new platform for online community discussions. It features a new, easy-to-use UI, advanced searching and filtering, greater scalability, improved performance, enhanced moderation, and improved SEO for public discussions. Included in this release are integrations with Influitive’s proven game dynamics and advocate mobilization capabilities, which help ensure active engagement in the community.

These developments are elements of Influitive’s C2 platform, named for Communities that Convert, the technology that enables the CPE strategy. This platform facilitates engagement not only with paying customers, but also with prospects, partners, platform developers, and even employees.

Advocamp and the BAMMIES would not be possible without the help of these incredible event sponsors:
