What are Asks?

Asks are the fuel of an advocate marketing campaign. They are requests for your advocates to take action such as participate in a case study, testimonial or survey, write a product review or another piece of content.  Asks are a critical step in the advocate marketing process — plan, recruit, ask, reward, analyze.

Why Are Asks Important?

Asks are a way to engage advocates, and can be targeted to certain segments of your advocate base depending on activity level or their relationship with the company. This ensures that content is being collected from the people most suitable to creating it. It is best to ease new advocates into the process with smaller, simpler asks and then work up to the larger campaigns.
