What are Challenges?

As part of an advocate marketing strategy, challenges are targeted “asks” that motivate advocates to outperform one another. They have a bit of a game-y edge as they are designed to spark some friendly rivalry among your advocates. Challenges can be something as simple as calling on advocates to complete a survey in a period of time, or more complicated as the program requires.

Why Are Challenges Important?

Challenges motivate your advocates to produce on a consistent basis. Marketers can boost an advocate’s status and access to recognition and rewards like business coaching, or a ticket to an industry event, upon completion. Challenges help advocates stay engaged and entertained by competing with others — or themselves — to attain that next status level.
